Camu Camu

Camu Camu is a small cherry-like fruit wild harvested along the banks of the Amazon River. Extracts from the fruit, which is extremely acidic in flavor and typically masked by dilution in milk or water, contain approximately 30x the amount of Vitamin C found in oranges. Camu Camu oil, which is rich in iron and amino acids, is one of the most antioxidant rich ingredients known.

Camu Camu extracts diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Ellagic acid, an antioxidant that protects the skin against free radicals, works actively to help firm, tone, tighten and brighten the complexion. Because it contains iron, niacin, riboflavin, phosphorus, potassium, beta-carotene, calcium and amino acids, Camu Camu helps produce collagen that aids in the reduction of hyperpigmentation and scarring and boost anti-inflammatory agents that may soothe skin.
