“Sight is so much more than seeing.” That’s what Harold Streitman has come to believe. A born and raised New Yorker, Harold came into his own as an artist and adult in the prime of 1970’s nightlife. Not only a patron, but a cultivator of culture, he opened his own club, Hurrah, at just 21 years old. The blend of cultures, sexualities, and the burgeoning fringe movement of disco built within him a powerful sense of taste and style, and an eye for when and where to strike, artistically. His ability to distill the heartbeat of cultural movements brought him to Paris, where the terrific excitement and freedom of expression was also taking root, and became the genesis of his storied career at the helm of great fashion houses. Yves Saint Laurent, Calvin Klein, and Saks 5th Avenue have all known the wonder of Harold’s vision. His glimpse into where the pulse beats before the hearts of the world knows is a skill that led him and Francisco Costa to the same table of changemaking.

While Harold is no longer a person with the ability to see, his vision remains steadfast and unchallenged. He models the Costa Brazil exclusive 3D Printed folding sunglasses designed and crafted by renowned eye-wear designer, Felicity Jury Cramp. No stranger to the world of pinnacle eye-wear design, Felicity's tenure has taken her from Gucci, to Tom Ford, to Giannini, and beyond. Born from a family of jewelers and visionary craftsmen, working with and alongside the elements is in her nature. She has been able to fortify the legacy from which she hails into a beautiful one of her own, working now to reshape the mode in which eyewear is developed and created. The elimination of the waste and global stress that resides in the wake of consumerism is a passion that Felicity and the whole of the Costa Brazil family holds close. Glimpses into what the future may hold, the ways in which we can protect and rehabilitate the home we share on Earth, is the kind of sight that elevates someone with vision into a visionary

Sight is the sense of surrounding. The water that surrounds the land we stand on, limitless and endless in its power and its presence. The glow that surrounds the person you love, incandescent and vibrant in its aura. We see the things we wish to, in the world we help to create. But an ability to see is not paramount to having vision. Sight is often the experience of obscuring vision, of deliberate manipulations to color, light, saturation that we derive our ability to see from. How we each interpret what we see, in our ability to perceive what surrounds us or not, is a catalytic foundation to our experience with the sense of Sight.
