Our Founder’s 5 Healthy Habits to Recharge and Re-energized for 2025

1. Be Yourself.

No one else has been cut from the same cloth. Take ownership of who you are, work on what you need to improve, and try to bring levity to it. Believe it or not, this is very difficult for me, but I work on it every day.

2. Bathe in Nature.

There’s a lot of ongoing research citing the benefits of nature—just a 20 minute walk can impact your stress hormones. And forest bathing, a Japanese practice called shinrin yoku, heightens the senses and combats “technostress” simply by being calm and quiet amongst the trees. There’s nothing like it. In fact, it's what inspired me to create Aroma —it's like a forest in a bottle.

3. Bathe Before Bed.

I never used to be a bath person but it’s a relaxation ritual I can’t live without. My secret (and Oprah’s!): Costa Brazil Bath Salts. Not only do they relax your muscles but the Brazilian white clay and CBA (a cannabinoid from the Amazonian Copaiba resin) is beyond calming and leaves skin soothed and so soft. And follow with a foot rub. Your feet keep you balanced all day so give them a little love! You don’t have to be an expert to practice basic reflexology with our beautifully rich Creme Para o Corpo Body Cream.

4. Practice Generosity.

It’s not about how much you give, but the intention. Costa Brazil has always supported our non-profit environmental partners, Conservation International and The Brazil Foundation. There are incredible ways to give that don’t involve a monetary donation—one of my favorites is volunteering with God’s Love We Deliver to send nourishment to those who need it.

5. Exercise Your Right To Dream.

Mediate. Release. Disconnect. To me, these are times to be selfish, to focus on myself—not an easy thing. I often wake up at 5am and that’s the moment my mind starts spinning. To slow down, I play theta waves on the Calm app on a very low volume, closing my eyes and breathing deeply. It lets me drift off until 7am, when I get up and try to make it to the gym, my other form of self-investment and therapy.
