From daily breathwork andSex and the Cityin the bathtub to massages with Costa Brazil Body Oil, Sky Ting Yoga’s founder Krissy Jones has a well-played method to her Me Time. Follow her lead for a strong, serene, and sunny year ahead.
What’s your feel-good plan for 2025?
I’m leaning into simplicity and consistency. I want to embrace a minimalist, nutrient-focused skincare routine with high-quality, multi-tasking products. I’m also prioritizing lymphatic drainage through regular facial massages and using tools like gua sha to enhance circulation and glow. On the wellness front, I'm committing to daily breathwork and morning sunlight exposure to set a positive tone for the day.
Yoga will always be my cornerstone—it’s where I find alignment in both body and mind. I also go to dance classes regularly and practice Graham technique [a style of modern dance created by the iconic dancer and choreographer Martha Graham], which is my version of Pilates. I do tennis for cardio, joy, and getting out aggression!
Let’s talk about what happens post workout. Do you have a ritual in place?
1. Hydration is key. I drink a big glass of water with electrolytes right after.
2. A gentle cool-down with some restorative yoga poses to stretch and relax.
3. I love using Costa Brazil’s Kaya Jungle Firming Body Oil with the Costa Brazil Massage Tool to give my muscles some TLC and boost recovery. I target areas that hold tension, like my neck, shoulders, and legs. With a bit of the Kaya Oil, it helps release tightness, improve circulation, and leave me feeling grounded and refreshed.
4. Hyperice compression pants, sauna, and red light therapy at SKY TING.
Necessary indulgences?
Long, luxurious baths infused with salts, essential oils, and TV (I put my TV in the bathroom and watch reruns of Sex and the City as I bathe). Also, I carve out time for solo getaways or retreats where I can reset and reconnect with myself.
I’m going back to my roots this year and feeling Madonna’s Ray of Light album—it’s such a masterpiece. I’ll have“Frozen”and“The Power of Goodbye”on repeat for their haunting beauty and emotional depth. The whole album is amazing—it’s deeply tied to Kabbalah and yoga, and it was a huge inspiration for me to pursue a career in yoga.
