Taste has the power to unify. Culturally, this has been the case for millenia. Cuisine can cultivate relationships across oceans, space, and time. Nourishment of the body and of the mind gives way to knowledge which breeds understanding. And for the comforting sense of Taste, we are thrilled to feature not only our beloved Body Scrub, fueled by antioxidant rich Green Coffee, but also the contributions of revered chef Morena Leite.

Morena Leite, the renowned Brazilian chef, brings the worldly nature of her experiences to her cuisine. Trained in the classic art of French cooking, she incorporates traditional Brazilian ingredients to blend two disparate cultures into one unified culinary experience. A woman of many worlds within one remarkable life, Morena believes that “home is a place to nourish and harvest.” The executive chef of the celebrated Capim Santo restaurants in Sao Paolo, Leite also developed the Capim Santo Institute, a culinary training center for public school students, providing these children with the same discovery and love of taste that she, herself, was granted.

Taste is the Sense of the world. Costa Brazil is honored to feature a taste-maker such as Morena for the Holiday Season.

Jake Tyler Brodsky, a New York City native and celebrated chef across the city and the Carribean, mirrors the metropolitan sophistication and commitment to nature’s prevalence in all aspects of life that Costa Brazil strives to achieve. With tenure at world-renowned establishments such as Eleven Madison Park, as well as leading the visionary charge for Palm Heights in Grand Cayman, Brodsky’ holistic approach to dining and its presentation provides the perfect parallel to our commitment in centering nature’s healing and nourishing power.
